John Shambra began his career behind the cookline. As a cook, kitchen manager, and operations director working for notable restaurant groups including Wolfgang Puck, the Hardrock Café and California Pizza Kitchen, John built an expert understanding of the needs of the restaurant owner, manager, and the chef.

Building on his expertise in construction, project management, and operations, he opened Shambra Restaurant Design in 1997, and has been building exceptional and functional restaurant kitchens ever since.
