Coming in under the radar, Trois Familia, another Jon/Vinny/Ludo rest

Fast and stealthy. The trio’s latest spot, touted to be a French-Mexican brunch spot, opens in Silver Lake very soon. SRC provided some new and updated equipment to get the guys up and rolling quickly. And indeed, Trois Familia has certainly turned around the former Alegria spot lickety-split.

Look for more info soon, meanwhile read up on Eater LA’s blog.

Shambra Restaurant Consulting signs new projects across the US.

Well, it’s still early October and yet we know what that means (no, not this, hopefully!). We’re looking ahead to new and upcoming projects!

On deck we have new projects near and far. In Los Angeles, we are excited to be working on a Korean BBQ restaurant located downtown. This new location will be taking over a former bank space and backed by a restauranteur already operating a successful restaurants in Los Angeles.

Malibu will see another outpost of a beloved taco/seafood spot, which already has three locations sprinkled throughout the Westside and West Hollywood.

A little further afield, SRC is developing a kitchen for the fourth location of a family-owned and operated American-style restaurant and bar near San Francisco. In Orange County, we will be providing services for a new restaurant concept, melding Japanese and Taiwanese cuisines.

And last but not least, SRC will provide design and equipment supply services for a new Chicago location of a yakatori restaurant. Look for updates on these and other new projects soon.

Two of SRC’s clients make the list of LA’s sexiest new restaurants, says Zagat

Vespaio is a headliner when it comes to design and its food! Zagat The restaurant made their list of the 13 Sexiest New Restaurants in LA. Vespaio is the newest location in chef and owner Ago Sciandri’s collection of restaurants. Located on Broadway, it’s just “a strand of tagliatelle's reach away from the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Music Center, MOCA, and the newly opened Broad Museum.” So if you’re making plans to head downtown to see an exhibit or hear some music, make plans to stop by and get a quick bite or meal. (225 S. Broadway Ave., 213-221-7244)

Red O Santa Monica also made that list with their newest location right on Ocean Avenue. Designed by Judy Van Wyck, this location has a cross-over beachy theme matched alongside Mediterranean touches. (1541 Ocean Ave., 310-458-1600)

Congrats to both of our long-time clients!

Red O Santa Monica in Haute Living, and other news

SRC News:

Recently opened Red O Santa Monica appears in Haute Living.

This looks better than a Bloomin' Onion: Jon & Vinny's recipe for cornmeal-fried spring onions with chile aioli. Yum.

News and notable:

A NYC bakery that will hire anyone.

See pics of Clifton's Cafeteria, which opened last week/will open some time this week.

We're more wine snobs (or pretend to be) but if you like craft beers in LA, you'll like this.

Or, maybe you prefer craft cocktails?
