Katana to open soon in Chicago

Innovative Dining Group (IDG) is set to open a new Katana outpost soon in Chicago. A welcome addition to the mid-west, Katana already has a presence in Scottsdale, Arizona, Abu Dabi, and Dubai.

As posted here in Eater Chicago, restaurant equipment provided by Shambra Restaurant Consulting has already arrived on site. Over 13,000 square feet, the space will feature a stand-alone robata bar, a sushi bar, and a premium sake bar. The back of house kitchen includes a 25-foot long custom stainless steel chef's counter in addition to the full cookline.

Here's a sneak preview of the chef's counter.

ROKU, another SRC project, opening soon

The news is already out that Sushi Roku on Third has closed, and the  former Rivabella space was transformed into Innovative Dining Group's newest concept, titled simply ROKU. The space underwent a revamp to include new teppanyaki grill and a new sushi bar, while the amazing outdoor dining will still be available for those with a eye to a view.

Read up on more ROKU developments, and be sure to check out some of the new artwork. Hans Haveron designed it, and the photograph is (probably) by Wonho Frank Lee.

Innovative Dining Group brings Sushi Roku to the OC - with help from SRC

Orange County will soon be dining on sushi when Innovative Dining Group opens its first Sushi Roku there this summer.  Shambra Restaurant Consulting was pleased to help IDG transform the former French restaurant into the OC's newest and tastiest sushi spot.

Working within the existing footprint, SRC transformed the existing kitchen to better serve the Sushi Roku concept.  The kitchen cook line was reconfigured, as was the existing full-service bar.  SRC also added a new sushi bar which features 30 feet of sushi display.

We'd like to thanks IDG once again for selecting Shambra Restaurant Consulting as their food service consultant. Best of luck!
